River Walk:

 Majestic Theater: One of the Finest Atmospheric Theaters Ever Built

It is the home of the San Antonio’s Symphony and Broadway.  Many talented musicians, musical sensations, and comedians have stood in the spotlight on the Majestic’s stage. Catching a show here would be a memorable experience.

El Mercado/Market Square: Largest Mexican Market Outside of Mexico

Here, you will find yourself in the largest Mexican market outside of Mexico. It is a cultural shopping and dining experience. The shops have everything from Aztec imports and pottery to jewelry and hand-embroidered clothing.

This historic landmark is right in the heart of down town San Antonio. It symbolizes a memorable battle in our nation’s history.

The Mission Trail: Largest Concentration of Catholic Missions

The largest concentration of Catholic missions in North America and in 1983 the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park was established.

Transportation

San Antonio Trolley Tours:

This is an exciting way to travel and see the city. Professional tour guides take you on a journey through the historic and tourist attractions of the city. Tickets are sold at Pat O’Briens in the Alamo Plaza.

Segway Tours:

Instead of walking or riding a bus, glide around on a modern scooter-like Segway PT through the city streets.  The three hour guided Segway tour is a wonderful way to see the cities attractions.

Yellow Rose Co. Horse Carriage Tours:

Take a tour on a horse carriage ride through downtown San Antonio. Prices range from $30-$70 per couple.

Entertainment

Tower of the Americas:

As a unique display of architecture and the focal point of San Antonio’s downtown skyline, the Tower of Americas stands 750 ft. tall. The trip to the top is exciting as the glassed in elevators ascends you 500 ft. high to a rotating upscale restaurant and a spectacular wraparound observation deck.

San Antonio Zoo

On 56 acres of Brackenridge Park, the zoo holds over 3,800 animals representing 750 species in 11 different exhibits.

Brackenridge Park:

342.7 acre park is a perfect place for picnicking, biking, jogging, and much more. It is the location site for our Zoo, Wittee Museum, The Brackenridge Golf Course, and the Japanese Tea Gardens.

McNay Art Museum:

The art collection includes medieval, Renaissance, and the 19th and 20th century art. They feature work by famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gough, and Georgia O’Keeffe.

San Antonio Museum of Art:

Its permanent collection consists of 5,000 years worth of Asian art, European and American paintings, and antiquities from Greek and Roman eras. As of May, 2009, the famous River Walk’s new extension reaches the museum.

Wittee Museum:

This popular museum focuses on South Texas history, natural history and science, and culture. The museum possesses permanent exhibits such as dinosaur bones and cave drawings, along with changing galleries for the traveling national exhibits.

The Museo Alameda: Only Latin American Museum in the US

As the first Smithsonian Institute affiliate in the U.S., the museum unfolds the story of how the Latin-Americans and Anglo-Americans came to understand one another.  Hours are Tuesday through Sunday 12pm-6pm.

San Antonio Children’s Museum:

The museum provides an educational hands-on experience for children through creative play. It has imaginative exhibits including a cloud room, imaginary flight, a pretend bank with ATM machines, and Texas caves where children to crawl through.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas:

The city’s largest theme park boasts award winning shows, thrilling rides, and a free waterpark.

Splashtown:

Take the family to San Antonio’s Premier water park that includes over 50 rides and attractions, a drive-in movie theater, and Splashtown offers something fun for every age.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort:

Enjoy some fun in the sun at the nation’s best waterpark located in New Braunfals, Texas. The park has miles of tubing rides, along with water coasters and kid-friendly water playgrounds.

Sea World:

Sea World San Antonio is the world’s largest marine life adventure park and family entertainment showplace. The park has a collection of more than 26 magnificent shows, thrilling rides, educational experiences, an animal park and a water park for all ages.
